News Websites Are Popping Up Everyday, What Are Some of Your Favorite Unbiased Media Outlets?
It’s no lie that the mainstream media has lost almost all credibility over the past few decades. This has become even more evident by the recent passing of the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The update neutralized two previous acts—the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948 and Foreign Relations Authorization Act in 1987—passed to protect American audiences from our own government’s deceptive media campaigns. These behaviors have become even more transparent during United States congressional hearings about Operation Mocking Bird in the 1970’s.
The plan to buy up and control the United States media and bring them under only a few powerhouses has long been planned and well documented. Today majority of news outlets are owned by only a handful of corporations. The names of these corporations are General Electric, News-Corp, Disney, Time Warner, Viacom and CBS.
According to Business Insider, 232 Media Executives, dictate what 318 million Americans will watch on TV, including 70% of what is shown on cable.
The ability for American’s to avoid these propaganda machines and search out their own facts and information has created great distrust of the mainstream media.
In 2012, the United States Department of Defense (DOD) claimed that the pentagon was having trouble controlling the news because of citizen journalists, social media, and alternative news websites, such as Drudge Report. The government officials expressed that no one believes them because these sources aggregate information faster than the mainstream media can twist it, preventing the deception from being effective.
In all reality, the quality of information available in the alternative news community is based on the journalist’s integrity. The ability to check facts, research what ever information you so chose, will allow you to decide how you get your news.
Everyday political machines are creating news websites to try and control the narrative and muddy the waters of the alternative news community.
